Back to school, back to…
-Friends!
-Teacher’s gossip 🙂
-Lunch breaks that fly by.
-Hoping not to have to use the bathroom all day.
-Memorizing the class schedule.
-Morning rush hours and running for the bus.

It’s been a while since I was a student in school, and while I’m not fond of the high school memories, I did enjoy studying photography and art later on. (I’d do it all again if I got the chance!)

Even after all these years, the first day of September feels like an exciting start to a new season and opportunities. I wouldn’t mind switching the start of the new year to September, and then January can be a winter break, a moment of calm, of rest, and recharging.

With the fruit harvest in the garden about to start, a full battery of vitamin D, and all the energy from the Nordic summer days, I feel definitely ready to tackle a new year’s resolution more than during our coldest and darkest months, where all I want to think of is making snow sculptures and drinking spiced tea.

To all the parents and kids with butterflies in their stomachs and maybe a sleepless night, good luck!
Wishing you all the fun, learning, and cool teachers at school!
