Ssshhh. Wild beast training!
Most of the time, my dogs are off-leash in the woods or when having a harness on, they are allowed to pull. But because we crawl out of our cave into the civilized world from time to time, I do practice on leash training and challenges that come with city life because I like my dogs to be confident and relaxed wherever they go. Mogwai is easy, I can take her anywhere except perhaps a playdate with 100 retrievers :-). Lizzie can be insecure, is careful around cars, gets overly excited when seeing dogs and needs some time to relax- we often carry a blanket for her as this helps a lot. With Oona, we still see improvement but also work around her limitations. I won’t take her to meetups with strange dogs and don’t take her anywhere busy unless I can focus 100% on her and the training.

So yeah, this is us training a bit on a path in the woods around our home 🙂
