After days of rain, the sun came out and colored the trees with fire. The bright oranges, yellows and reds as a magnificent contrast to the blue of the lake and the sky. The air was warm for October- around 15°C- and there was no wind at all. Just so perfect I couldn’t resist this (maybe last?) autumn paddling.

“I want to swim!” said Mogwai, but I didn’t trust the water since the days are still rather warm but at night it’s close to freezing.
This time we didn’t spot any beavers but we did meet some beautiful birds. I hope, of course, that I get another chance with delicious weather like this, but otherwise, I’ll bring out my snowshoes 🙂
