One of the “secret” projects I’ve been working on in the past autumn/winter, while kinda disappearing from the web, is a book I illustrated for Susan Whitley.
It’s called “Max: The Life and Death of an Amazing Friend.

Little dog Max takes us on a journey, a celebration of life, the joys of spending time with his people, his friends, and special places. And the memories he will leave behind at the end of his life. The book is written to support children when they grieve the loss of a furry friend.
(Recommended for children ages 4-8)

More book work is coming later this year!

I hope you’re all enjoying a lovely spring. It’s been super sunny and dry here, then we got an autumn-like intermezzo where I had to dig up all my warm sweaters again, and now we’re off to summer.

The dogs are feeling all bouncy, and the oblivious creatures passing through our garden probably have an opinion on their musical qualities 🙂
So we decided to leave the spring songs to the masters of the melodies and quietly watch the birds, deer, hares, and foxes explore the suddenly very green nature. (I’m hoping the deer won’t eat my tulips this year)

Have a wonderful day!

Fenne & the dogs.
