Lizzie has been soaking up all the sunlight she can now that we’re in Belgium and spring has arrived. She’s been sunbathing outside and rolling in the fresh grass. Oh, she’s so happy when it’s sunny!
I don’t dare to tell her that we got fresh snow at home. When arriving home she will stare with disgust at the brown remains of grass, the frozen slush, and bare trees. She might push her “sauna” button several times to protest this traveling back in time.

We’ve also been out with the Kickbike- and this was a new thing for Lizzie. I thought that, perhaps, she would be intimidated at first, but no. I had put on her harness and the bungee leash with a hip belt, and she just knew what the plan was and started running.

>> I got a few questions about the step. It’s a Kickbike City (an older model, I got it secondhand about 12-15 years ago for 70EUR). I am still very happy with it and the only downside is that this kickbike isn’t made for off-road adventures. This model is rather low/close to the ground which is easier to kick, but impossible to take to a forest or rocky path. The tyres are also narrow and the brakes are made for city life and not wild downhill racing with dogs. It’s always been perfect for how I use it, and the funny basket comes quite handy for a dog person 🙂
I always use a hip belt + elastic leash (from Nonstop Dogwear) so I don’t attach my dogs to the Kickbike.
